CCCS Scholarships are funded through the Colorado Community College System and students may qualify for multiple CCCS scholarships, such as the Stratosphere STEM Scholarship. There is one common application to be considered for all scholarships; the application process will automatically qualify you for scholarships for which you are eligible. CCCS Scholarships open in the Spring with a typical deadline at the end of March. Visit the CCCS Scholarship page to apply.
The Financial Aid Office at your college is dedicated to providing support to students and their families in meeting the costs of a college education. In addition to federal and institutional aid administered through the financial aid office, there are a number of STEM-focused grants that offer a combination of financial, academic, and advising support. Contact your LSAMP Navigator for your college's Financial Aid Office.
One of the many ways LSAMP supports STEM students who identify as an underrepresented minority is through undergraduate research experiences (URE). Students must be LSAMP Scholars to apply for available URE opportunities and commit to one-year. Projects are either self-directed by students who come up with their own research question or are partnerships with existing research opportunities on campus. Areas of research include Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, Math, and more. In the first semester, LSAMP URE Scholars complete a series of URE workshops, complete their study, and are invited to poster presentations at local and national conferences; in the second semester, LSAMP URE Scholars serve as a mentor for new URE applicants. If you are interested in becoming an LSAMP Scholar and gaining access to these opportunities, contact the LSAMP Navigator at your school. Already an LSAMP Scholar?
